It has been such a wonderful start to the new school year. I hope and pray that the positive spirit continues throughout the year! I just wanted to send home a few announcements this week.
Pizza Order. We will be ordering pizza on Thursday for Friday’s lunch. An order form has been sent home with each student. Please fill out the forms and send them into school by Thursday morning if you would like to order pizza for your student for Friday.
Casual Day. This Friday, the 4th, will be a casual day for students. They may wear their P.E. uniform to school that day (knee-length loose basketball shorts and t-shirts). Please ask your student’s supervisor if you have any dress questions.
Labor Day. There is no school on Monday, the 7th, in observance of Labor Day.
Sports. The first volleyball and football games are scheduled for September 17th. Volleyball practices start Friday, the 4th, after school. Please contact coach Rachel Schwender if you have any questions about the upcoming volleyball season at 724-691-5218. Flag football practices will begin after school as well on Friday, the 4th. You can contact Pastor Schwender, the coach, with questions at 724-244-4323. As schedules are finalized, we will get those to you. Detailed volleyball info can also be found in the newsletter dated 8-25.
Electives. We begin electives such as music and art on the third week of school. Speedy Reader will begin next week as Miss Michelle will need extra time to evaluate each of those students.
