WOW!!! It is hard to believe we are already into another school year. I have been running from room to room saying hello to students and taking pictures. If you are not already connected, the BBCA Facebook Page also has a Parent Group that you can be part of. I share a lot more pictures on the private group, so make sure to request to join.
We will be sending out some test texts and emails to announce this newsletter as well as other upcoming events. Please keep an eye on texts and emails for these important updates. If you do not receive a text or email and would like put on the list, or if you would like your spouse added because they were not on the list, please contact Pastor Lear at: david@bbclatrobe.com and he can have you added to either list.
Emergency phone numbers – If you need to contact your student’s supervisor during the school day and you cannot reach someone at the church, please use the school cell phone number, 724-221-0267. Someone is scheduled to keep this phone at all times during the school day, so it is the best chance to get someone on short notice, especially for bussing changes.
The school calendar is available on the website. We try to make sure it is updated with days off, sporting events, and special days. Please visit http://bbcalatrobe.com/calendar to see more information and to subscribe to the RSS feed so the calendar will show up on your smart phone.

Please remember that we collect Box Tops for Education. These help cover some of the cost of our sports programs. We also collect Chick-Fil-A receipts from Eastgate and Westmoreland Mall. These receipts give us a discount on foods that we use for field trips at the end of the year.
In the past we have had Pizza Day on Fridays. We will have our first Pizza Day of the year on Friday, September 6th. Because of the size of the school, we had to come up with a way to organize it a little better this year. We will send home order slips on Tuesday, September 3rd, which must returned with money by Wednesday, September 4th, in order for the student to have pizza on Friday. This helps both the staff as well as the pizza place with being prepared.
