Fine Arts Night – We will be hosting our first ever Fine Arts Night on Friday, May 10th, from 6:00pm-8:00pm. Students will be showcasing art projects done throughout the year, there will be a school open house, the spelling bee final will take place, and there will be a skit. We are using this as a fundraiser for next year’s International Convention. The cost is usually $700-1,000 over the cost of regionals per student, and we want to help offset as much of that cost as possible. Tickets will be sold for $5 each. There is no cost for the students. Light refreshments will be served during the art display hour.

We are asking all students to be there. Dress will be shirt and tie with dress pants for the guys and a knee-length or longer skirt or dress for the girls. All students should be at the school by 5:45pm to prepare for the event. We are sending home fliers so you can see the schedule of events as well as hand them out to family and friends. .

Spelling Bee – There was a tie in one of the grades during the spelling bee. This tie will be broken at the Fine Arts night. Winners and awards will be given on graduation and awards night on May 24th.

Early Release – Students who have completed their entire year’s worth of work, as well as said all their monthly Scriptures, will have academic early release on May 16th and will not be required to attend school. Parents of the students who achieve this will be notified by supervisors.

Graduation/Awards Night – As a reminder, all students are required to attend graduation and awards night on May 24th at 6:00pm. We are excited to honor those who are graduating as well as those who worked hard to attain the variety of awards we hand out. Students are required to dress in the same attire as the Fine Arts night described above. We have many awards to hand out this year, so I hope that you will plan to attend.

2019-20 Re-Enrollment – Financial aid and re-enrollment forms for next year are available on the school website to be filled out electronically. Each family that would like to participate in the financial aid program must fill out a new application online. All discounts, except the pay-in-full discount, must go through the financial aid process. Even if you are eligible for this year or in previous years, we need a new application filled out in order to disperse the funds. Also, each student must be enrolled individually this year. Because a few families had issues with web enrollment, we are extending the deadline of waiving the registration fee of $100. Students registered by the end of Awards Night will not have to pay that fee.

Please continue to send in Box Tops for Education and Chick-Fil-A receipts from Eastgate and Westmoreland Mall. May’s Scripture is Philippians 3:7-14.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
