We wanted to give some information on upcoming events.
- There will be football practice as well as football and volleyball team pictures on Tuesday, the 24th.
- The last away football game is on the 26th. It is against Champion in Donegal.
- The 27th is a half day of school, with an 11:30am dismissal. This is the last day of the quarter.
- There is a mother/daughter volleyball game as well as a father/son football game scheduled for the 27th.
- There is a parent/teacher fellowship on Sunday, the 29th, from 4pm-6pm. No students are permitted. It is a casual event with no set schedule. You can come and go anytime during the activity. This is your opportunity to get first quarter progress reports as well as academic projections for your students. Please plan to attend.
- There is no school on Monday, the 30th.
- There are field trips for the 7th-9th and 10th-12th grade students on October 24th and 31st respectively. If you have not signed and paid for the tip, you can text the word “trips” to 724-577-7300 and a link to the registration will be sent to your phone.
- School pictures are scheduled for November 1st. Students are encouraged to dress a little nicer for pictures than a normal school day. They can also bring a change of clothes for after pictures are taken.
- Breast Cancer Awareness – Several of our students approached us and asked if we could do something special for Breast Cancer Awareness month. We are making Friday, the 27th, Pink Out Day at school. All students are encouraged to wear pink. We are also asking all students to make or bring in a card to encourage someone who is battling breast cancer. We are also collecting donations throughout the day for a love offering for someone in the midst of that battle. All students who participate in dressing up or donating will receive a coupon to Texas Roadhouse that is good for a free kid’s meal with an entree purchase as well as be entered in a drawing for a cash prize of $50. All proceeds from the concession stand during the evening games will go toward this love offering fund as well. Lastly, we want your help in determining someone that can use this encouragement. If you are aware of such an individual, please text “pink” to 724-577-7300. You will be sent a form via text to gather their information.
