I wanted to send a quick note home to discuss the sicknesses that are going around. We are trying to sanitize the school as much as possible, but there is no foolproof way to keep sickness from spreading. In light of that, we are asking parents to keep students home when they have had a fever or have been throwing up within the last 48 hours. I know that seems like a long time, but we are seeing the spread happening here at school and want to try and mitigate it as much as possible.
I also wanted to give notice that if more than 40% of our staff have to call off sick due to these symptoms, we will have to cancel school for the day as it would be unsafe for the students to have less supervision. We will send a text through the school message system in that happens.
