April 16, 2019
Easter Break – There is no school Thursday, April 18th through Monday, April 22nd for Easter Break. School will resume as normal on Tuesday, April 23rd.
Fine Arts Night – We will be hosting our first ever Fine Arts Night on Friday, May 10th, from 6:00pm-8:30pm. Students will be showcasing art projects done throughout the year, there will be a school open house, the spelling bee final will take place, and there will be a skit. We are using this as a fundraiser for next year’s International Convention. The cost is usually $700-1,000 over the cost of regionals per student and we want to help offset as much of that cost as possible. Tickets will be sold for $5 each.
Spelling Bee – There was a tie in one of the grades during the spelling bee. This tie will be broken at the Fine Arts night. Because of the tie, we will also announce all winners on that night.
Early Release – Students who have completed their entire year’s worth of work, as well as said all their monthly Scriptures, will have academic early release on May 16th and will not be required to attend school. Parents of the students who achieve this will be notified by supervisors.
Graduation/Awards Night – As a reminder, all students are required to attend graduation and awards night on May 24th at 6:00pm. We are excited to honor those who are graduating as well as those who worked hard to attain the variety of awards we hand out.
2019-20 Re-Enrollment – Financial aid and re-enrollment forms for next year are available on the school website to be filled out electronically. Each family that would like to participate in the financial aid program must fill out a new application online. All discounts, except the pay-in-full discount, must go through the financial aid process. Even if you are eligible for this year or in previous years, we need a new application filled out in order to disperse the funds. Also, each student must be enrolled individually this year. The registration fee of $100 will be waived through the end of April so please get your students registered right away!
Electronic Calendar – We strive to keep the calendar on our school website current. You can view and subscribe to the School Calendar by visiting www.bbcalatrobe.com/calendar
School Phone –724-221-0267 If you are not receiving texts from this number, please send a text with your name asking to be added. This is the easiest way to contact someone in the school as it is always monitored. We will no longer be using the Remind service. Please also use this number to let us know if your child will not be in school or will have other travel arrangements. Supervisors are very busy during the close of the school day and do not always have access to their phones. We have someone monitor this phone for transportation purposes.
Please continue to send in Box Tops for Education and Chick-Fil-A receipts from Eastgate and Westmoreland Mall. April’s Scripture is Psalm 46:4-11.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
