March Madness – Thank you to all those who have already started making plans for donations. We are still in need of monetary gifts and food items. We can also use help in the concession stand. If you can help in any of these areas, please let me know.
President’s Day – We are still planning to celebrate President’s Day on Monday, February 18th. There will be no school that day.
Spirit Week – Students are still required to wear clothing that would follow school dress code for a normal day or casual day. The themes of the days will be as follows:
Monday – Multiplicity day.
Tuesday – Cash for Casual day.
Wednesday – Disney day.
Thursday – Superhero day.
Friday – School Spirit day.
Merit Rewards – During Spirit Week, we are going to have the merit reward meals that were purchased at the last Merit Store Day. Those who purchased Lunch With Pastor will go out on Monday, February 25th. The Breakfast At School certificates will be honored on Wednesday, the 27th. We will also be providing Learning Center 3 with pizza and a movie on Thursday, the 28th for winning the Spaghetti Dinner/Amish Goods sales contests.
Third Quarter – Due to winter weather and days missed, we are going to move the end of the third quarter to March 15th. This means there will be a full day of school on the 8th and a half day on the 15th.
School Phone –724-221-0267 If you are not receiving texts from this number, please send a text with your name asking to be added. This is the easiest way to contact someone in the school as it is always monitored. We will no longer be using the Remind service.
School Refrigerator – One of the struggles of a growing school is space. This is not limited to the classrooms. We are finding that we do not have adequate space to store student items in the refrigerator, such as condiments. As stated at the beginning of the year, we are not providing any condiments as a school, however, several parents have sent in large sized condiments for their students. We are at the point we need to open space for school items, game concessions, and church events. As such, we are needing to purge all condiments at the end of next week. If your child has something in there, please have them retrieve it before then. You will need to send in what your child needs each day. I know this is inconvenient to some, but with a growing school and church, we are in need of this space.
