October 18, 2018

The school calendar, including volleyball games, is available on our website, www.bbcalatrobe.com. Just as a reminder, the first quarter ends October 18th, and it will be a noon dismissal. There will be no school October 19th.

October 22 is an Academic Release Day – the following students have this day off school:

Please see the written newsletter for student names.

There will be a parent/teacher fellowship on October 29th from 6pm-9pm. This will be an opportunity to meet with your student’s supervisor to ask questions and talk about the first quarter of school. It will also be a chance to schedule an individual conference if they are needed. Students are not permitted at the fellowship, and light refreshments will be provided.

For cancer awareness month, on the week of October 22nd, students can pay $10 to purchase casual dress for the rest of the month as well as a lunch provided on Thursday, October 25th. Lunch details will be provided that week.

Staff will be attending CEC (for continuing education) on October 31st, and there will not be school for students that day.

Due to the volleyball tournament as well as other events that affect staffing in the school, we will not have school on Friday, November 2nd. There is also no Kindergarten on Monday, November 5th. Please plan accordingly.

The annual Spaghetti Dinner will be on November 9th. We are planning to have vendors and dessert auctions again this year. We will be asking all of our 7th-12th grade students to help serve. We will also ask our families to donate items as we get closer to the event.

Fund Raiser – This year we will be selling Amish dips and jellies. We will start the sales at the Spaghetti Dinner, where we will have samples available, and continue selling through the month of November. Ordered items will be available approximately two weeks before Christmas.

Please continue to send in Box Tops for Education and Chick-Fil-A receipts from Eastgate and Westmoreland Mall. This month’s Scripture memory passage is Psalm 86:1-10.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
