March Madness – Our annual school tournament is coming up on March 2nd. Games will begin at 10:00am and go throughout the day. We are in need of concessions to be donated to help defray the costs to having this event. Please contact us if you are able to provide anything and we can go over the list of needed items.
Spirit Week – The week of February 26th will be Spirit Week. We will start the week off with closing ceremonies of our Olympics on Monday. When dressing up, please remember to be modest. The rule of thumb we follow is loose and flowing clothing that covers from the shoulders to the knees. Students choosing not to participate in the dress up day must wear regular school uniforms (polo and khaki/polo and skirt). The special dress-up days are as follows:
Monday – Olympic Closing Ceremonies. Each student should dress in their countries colors or native dress.
Tuesday – Multiplicity day. Student should get together as groups and dress alike. Either as groups of things or similar outfits.
Wednesday – Superhero day. Students can dress up like their favorite superhero or wear a superhero t-shirt.
Thursday – Disney day. Students can dress like their favorite Disney character or wear a t-shirt that contains their favorite character.
Friday – School Spirit day. Students should wear school colors (blue/gray/white). Students may color their hair, paint their faces, etc. (unless they are a player, they are not permitted to do that on the court).
Half Days – There are two half days (noon dismissals) coming up in the next few weeks. March 2nd all students without parents at the school will be required to go home on buses at the noon dismissal due to the March Madness Tournament. There will also be a half day on March 9th for the end of the quarter.
Spring Break – Please remember that Spring Break is extended this year. There will be no school from March 19 through April 2. School will resume on April 3rd.
Box Tops and Chick-Fil-A receipts – Please continue to collect and send in box tops and Chick-Fil-A receipts throughout the year.
