I want to start off by saying thank you. With so many transitions happening over the past several weeks, the spirit of our church and school has been amazing. That is a testament to how our individual families are handling the strain of all these changes. Your dedication to the school and church has not gone unnoticed and I am positive that your resilience during this time will be well-rewarded one day.
The true purpose of this note is to tell you how much I love you and your family. Since my knee surgery in January, I have been out of the classroom and struggling finding time to spend time with our students. I feel that if you consider me just a principal, you are missing who I truly am. I consider your family an extension of my own. I value our friendship and the opportunity to spread the love of Christ to your most precious of responsibilities. I miss seeing your children at the school and cannot wait until things return to some semblance of normal.
I am privileged to be a child of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. I am blessed to serve God at Bible Baptist Church in whatever capacity He allows – even with the peculiarity of these circumstances. I am honored to be there for you if there is anything I can do. Please tell your children that I love them and miss them. Although social distancing and the stay at home order have separated us physically, my mind and heart are with each of your families.
