What a great start to the school year! I can’t wait to see God work in the lives of all our students and staff throughout the year. Here are a few announcements and pertinent information we wanted to share.

1. Parent Orientation – If you missed it, please watch the replay here: ORIENTATION

2. Dismissal – Just a reminder that at dismissal, please line up in the gravel lot if you are picking up your students. Buses will be in the main lot and once they have all left the lot, parents can begin pulling through and lining up for pickup in front of the doors. Please do not enter the paved lot until all buses are out.

3. Volleyball – Our first volleyball game is this Thursday, August 29th, here at home. I hope you plan to attend as many games as possible this year to support our teams! Here is the concession stand volunteer list. Thank you to all who are helping in this. We will have more opportunities in basketball season as well if you are interested in serving! If you cannot make your scheduled time, please contact the school cell as early as possible to find replacements.

August 29 – Volleyball Only: 4pm-7pm – John and Lorraine Sheets, Colleen M
Sept. 6 – Football/Volleyball: 4pm-8pm – 4pm-6pm (Keffers, Tonya C); 6pm-8pm (Amanda Stauffer, Heather Womack, Meagan Wilkinson)
Sept. 10 – Volleyball: 4pm-7pm – Bennett Family
October 1 – Volleyball: 430pm-630pm – Adrienne, Melody, Lori
October 7 – Volleyball: 430pm-730pm – Tara, Wendy, Becky
October 18 – Volleyball/Football: 330pm-630pm – Mrs. Jensen, Michelle L., Keffers

4. Busing – The first few days of school are always challenging with buses as they are navigating new routes. Please be patient. Hopefully there will not be too many changes, but it does happen.

5. Concession stand pricing – Due to the rising cost of groceries and availability, lunch counter and concession stand items are increasing in price this year. Drinks and snacks will be $1 each while hot foods range from $1.50-3.00. We are sending home a sample order form with students, so you have an idea of what all is available and the cost.

6. Lunches – If you are going to be sending in foods that will need heated for lunch, please mark the students’ name and heating instructions on the packaging. All food to be microwaved should be already in microwave safe containers from home. Due to the time for assembly, no pizza kits (Lunchables) can be heated.

7. Pizza – This Friday we will have pizza available for lunch. Pizza order slips will be sent home Wednesday and need to be turned in Thursday for us to process the order with the pizza shop. These are large slices of pizza, so most students only need one piece.

8. Games – In an effort to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone at our athletic events, we are asking that parents not leave students unattended during our games. Students should be accompanied by a parent or an adult responsible for supervising them. Students are to be seated with their parent or guardian during the entire game or in the designated student pep club section of the bleachers. Students should not be in any other area of the buildings or property. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter and for supporting our athletic program.

As always, please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.
