As we go into the month of February, I wanted to reach out and give some details about upcoming events. Please feel free to reach out to your student’s supervisor or myself if you have any questions.
- Basketball games – please check the updated calendar on our church website for information on all of our upcoming games. We have two home games this week and hope you can come out and support our guys! Special note that the Father/Son game is scheduled for Tuesday, February 21st.
- Act 80 day – February 13th is an Act 80 Day, which means there is no school for the students.
- Valentine’s Day – Next Tuesday, the 14th, is Valentine’s Day. Each individual learning center will have a little party with details given to those students. Younger students wishing to exchange valentines are encouraged to do so for their whole learning center. Parents may contact supervisors for a current student list if needed.
- President’s Day – The school is closed on Monday, February 20th, in observance of President’s Day.
- Spirit Week – February 21st-24th will be Spirit Week. Students may participate in the following dress-up days: Tuesday is Senior Day (dress like a senior citizen), Wednesday will be Decade Day (dress up like any decade, past or future), Thursday will be Comic Book Day – Heros vs. Villains (dress up like your favorite comic book character), and Friday is School Spirit Day (Blue, white, and gray dress). As always, modest dress is expected for each of the days. We will have special events each day leading up to a pep rally on Friday before the first game of the BBCA Invitational Tournament.
- Lunch – Thursday, February 23rd, the Pep Club will be hosting a school lunch. A nacho bar with cupcake and drink will be available for $5 per person. All proceeds go towards our Pep Club and sports program.
- Invitational – The BBCA Invitational Tournament is scheduled for Friday, February 24th. We can use help with the concession stand as well as donations for concessions and trophies. If you are able to help in these areas, please reach out to Pastor Lear.
- End of Quarter – The 3rd Quarter will end with am 11:30am dismissal on March 10th.
- Spring Break – March 13-17 is Spring Break. There is no school that week.
