Tomorrow. It is so hard to believe as I am sitting here going over last-minute details that tomorrow is the day. We are so excited to start the school year! I just wanted to go over a few details for this first week to help answer some frequently asked questions.
- Tomorrow’s 11:30am dismissal is before lunch time, so please do not send anything with your students.
- We will ease into some of the subjects over the course of a few days, so don’t expect to see a lot of homework this week.
- Lunch items will be available for purchase beginning Wednesday. We will give the students a list of items in their notebooks tomorrow.
- We will have pizza available to order for Friday. It will be $2 per slice for Pit Stop Pizza. Order forms will go home Wednesday and need to be returned Thursday so we can place that order.
- A few busses are still trying to finalize transportation details. They are having a difficult time with driver shortages and are still trying to work magic. It is totally out of our control, and we are at their mercy. If you have not heard any times by 4:00pm, please contact Pastor Lear on his cell phone or the school cell phone.
- We will not start any electives until after Labor Day so that the students have time to settle in. The only exception to that is Speedy Reader, which will start next week.
As with any new beginning, we expect to have some bumps along the road. Please do not hesitate to reach out and talk to us. We believe that we are all working together for the common goal of seeing our students love the Lord, grow together as a family, learn to serve others, and share Christ with those who need Him – all while gaining the academic successes they will need to thrive in life. To apply Amos 3:3, when we are on the same page, we will walk this road together. Please pray for the Lord to work in all of our hearts through the start of the 2022-23 Academic Year.
