It is hard to believe we are approaching the end of the first quarter of school already. There have been many ups and downs for most of the students; but, overall, they are working hard to finish this first part of the year strong. It is never a surprise that Satan tries to attack when God is doing so many great things among the student body. It is our prayer that every family stays strong – we are in this together! If there is anything you need, make sure to reach out to your students supervisor or myself!
Quarter – The end of the first quarter is next Friday, the 22nd. This is an 11:30am dismissal. Please make sure to plan accordingly.
Sports – Make sure to check out the school calendar for all the sports events coming up. We especially want to point out the Father/Son football game on October 23rd and the Mother/Daughter volleyball game on October 25th. Please plan to attend these events and cheer on our teams. These will be the last games some of our seniors play at the school and we want to show our support!
Parent/Teacher Fellowship – October 24th from 4pm-6pm is the parent/teacher fellowship. This is where we will sit down and discuss academics regarding each of the students. It is a casual atmosphere with light refreshments provided. No students are to attend this event as it is meant for just parents and the teachers. Please plan to be here to get your student’s progress reports as well as graduation projections for the high school students.
Slipper Day – Our Kindergarten class is learning about the letter “s”. To celebrate with them, this Thursday, the 14th, will be Slipper Day. Students are allowed to wear their slippers to school. This is not required, but we do love to see all the fun slippers our students (and staff) have!
Cooler weather – As a reminder, the school handbook allows for only sweaters in the Learning Center. Hoodies and coats are not permitted. The exception to this rule is the school-purchased hoodies, which are allowed.
We are truly blessed to be a part of your family and the education of your children. We do not take this responsibility lightly. If there are ways that we can be a help to your family, please do not hesitate to reach out and ask. We will do all we can to come along side as you do your best to raise them in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
