Dear School Family,

We serve an amazing God! He is so good to us, and He shows His love, care and protection for us each and every day. Unfortunately, we live in very difficult times. As a ministry serving our school families during these times, we come across many challenges. We feel it is important to keep you informed about these challenges, so that you can make the decisions that you feel are right for your family. We know that God will ultimately work all things out for His glory, so we ask that you prayerfully read this letter, and seek what God will have you do for your family.

While we were scheduled to return from Thanksgiving break last week, we did not because of concerns over exposure of some school families to the Corona virus. Because we are being as cautious as possible about this pandemic, those on our staff who suspected they had been in contact with someone who had the virus, voluntarily underwent testing themselves. This included two of our full-time staff members that work with Learning Center 1 and Learning Center 2, who while symptom free themselves, had been in contact with people who tested positive. While they took their tests last week, they did not receive their results until today. Unfortunately, those tests came back positive for the Corona virus.

We understand this can be unsettling news as they have come into contact with many students over these past two days. However, please understand that before either of them had returned to school, they had both been quarantined for at least the minimum number of days required by current federal health guidelines. We want to stress that both teachers took their tests while they were symptom free, and as of now, they continue to remain symptom free. They are only now receiving their results from their tests, which were taken five days ago. Because of many contributing factors, one of those staff members has decided voluntarily to stay home and quarantine for a few more days. The other staff member is well past the recommended number of days as laid out in the health guidelines, and we feel confident in this staff member returning to school in a normal capacity.

We understand that this leaves each of our school families with a decision to make. While we have every confidence that we can continue to provide a safe and secure education here at our school, there may be parents who due to concerns and restrictions from a work or personal health standpoint, may choose to have their child not attend in person. We understand and support that decision. Our school staff is committed to continue providing a quality education for our students, whether they are here at school or at home.

Please prayerfully consider what your family’s decision will be. These are unusual and trying times, but we will continue to trust that God’s will will be done, and we believe part of that will is our school continuing to provide your family with a godly education at this time. We love you all and we pray for your safety and health.
